Terraced houses Schorlemerallee
The two identical rows of terraced houses each consist of six symmetrically arranged three-story buildings. Alfons Anker and the brothers Hans and Wassili Luckhardt were not just the designers, but also clients who themselves took up residence in these buildings, the rest of which were sold parallel to their completion. The original plan called for steel-frame construction, but this was changed in favor of masonry construction. This first joint project by the three architects, with its austere cubic volumes featuring horizontal bands of clinker bricks, setbacks, corner windows and flat roofs, has been largely preserved in its original condition, despite damage during the war, and still shapes its surroundings.
